buying cd-rw for first time...

1) is scsi better that ide or e-ide?
2) scsi periphs seem to be rated slower, is e-ide faster?

i'm an architect that just wants the best bang for his buck! THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.

I would go with a Plextor or LG as a first time burner. Its very hard to go wrong on the burner as most do the job very well. And get Nero 6 as your burning program

It depends on what you want to burn.

Some burners are better than others when it comes to copying protected games etc.

to answer the question go with IDE or EIDE same really for burners, there cheaper and no additional scuzzi cards to buy, there almost plug and Play IDE burners :)
