I collect Asian tv series on VCD. I just play them on the computer with no problem. When I have to make a copy for someone, I just usually copy the DAT file to my C drive and then burn the file onto a CD with RealOnePlayer. However, recently, I’m trying to trade with someone over the net, and he is insisting that I use a real burner software to burn the cds because he wants to watch the series on tv with his vcd player. When I use RealOne, the result is a single track CD that’s only playable on a PC.
To satisfy him, I downloaded and used DeepBurner to burn a trial cd yesterday. I did so by first copying all the folders and files from the original CD, and then using DeepBurner to burn everything onto a blank CD. The result does look like a vcd I would buy from an official vendor – with all the different folders, small files, and the main movie DAT file.
My question is, is there a way to tell if the vcd I burned will play on a standalone vcd player? I don’t have a player to check.
Thanks for any advice.
