Wondering if anybody can shed some light on this...Last night I was on my pc and I got up and left it for 5 mins and when I came back the screen was black and It had a message saying 'no signal' I tried the usual restarting and checking the cables but the monitor would just stay the same. I then took my monitor cable out from the graphics card and plugged it in the integrated video port on my pc and it worked. Is my graphics card dead? its only a few months old!

Im running amd 2800 win xp and my graphics card is an ATI Radeon 9200

is there any way I can run a check on my graphics card?

Just right clicked on the desktop and went into settings and my graphics card isn't showing up. all that it shows up is the integrated graphics

Try removing the card then plugging it back in and see if the card is just loose in the slot.

If you can, also try the card in another system, if it doesn't work there then you can be sure the card has gone bad.

I just booted up my pc and the same thing happened to my integrated graphics. I switched the monitor to the graphics card and it works. I bet this happens every time I boot up..........

First remove integrated graphics from Device Manager and then make sure that it's not enabled in the bios.

don't know if it is anything to do with my graphics card or not. It seems to be working ok then suddenly the monitor goes into power saving mode and doesn't come out of it until I restart. I used windows restore and thought I had sorted it but obviously not...
