My son dropped his PS2 and now it doesn't read any type of discs. We never had any problems with it before this. Could something just have came loose and I just need to put it back? I have never opened a PS2 before so any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Have a search around for laser adjustment guides - ps2's don't like being dropped. If you're lucky, adjusting the height and azimuth might bring it back to life - otherwise it sounds like a new laser. If you're reasonably adept then a laser fit isn't too difficult - the adjustment is also relatively simple, but time consuming without an oscilloscope.

yeah it is hopefully just the laser. if you can't manage to sort it, take it to a local games shop...they'll be able to fix it for you.
