RESPECTED GUIDE MEMBERS,
I AM A COLLEGE GUY.MY SYSTEM WORKS IN WIN 98 OS.
I NEED YOUR ASSISTANCE IN SETTING UP A PASSWORD PRIVACY FOR MY CD-DISK DRIVE.THAT IS THE CD-DISK DRIVE MUST BE ACTIVE ONLY WHEN THE PASSWORD IS GIVEN.IF POSSIBLE MAIL ME AT natarajai@rediffmail.com.

why is it all caps?

btw, i don't know if that's possible without using a software but I know windows can hide specific driver in your system.

i know a way to do this but with XP pro , first make a password for the administrative account and make another acount with hardware profile that deosnt show the CD drive .. now to u can login with the 2nd acount with no CD drive to show the CD drive logoff and login again with the administrative acount with the password u created .

try to apply this on win98 i think it has a hardware profile setup

Download Tweak UI program from Windows, you will find a free version running a search in google. This program will allow you to "hide" the drive so that nobody else can use.
