I wanted to know if i could install a 200Gb hdd with alading modchip and if i need to have any special bios?

if you haven't got one already you may have to flash it with a bios that has the lba48 (137gb+) hack.

if its 200gb- get 4981.06, (the one for big f: only) big f: tends to go dodgy around 230gb, so any bigger than 200gb, i'd format with f and g and use 4981.67

4983 (latest one) can't be edited with xbtool (apparently has some code from x3 bios so they're not gonna allow people to make patches for it.

If you're happy with booting from c:\ order is :
Dashboard Boot sequence Hack
- 1. avalaunch.xbe
- 2. evoxdash.xbe
- 3. mxmdash.xbe
- 4. nexgen.xbe
- 5. xboxdash.xbe

then go with 4983 but if you want to do colour modding, modding the dash sequence (say having an f: boot) etc. then 4981 is the one to go with

aladdin is 256k so the standard bios is fine (its 256k- but can be made 512 or 1mb if required using xbtool)

4982 was buggy
