Hi

I have some PCI 56K Modems with the Ambient MD3200 chip on them, but I seem to have loads of problems getting them to connect to isp's, I've tried three modems of the same in different computers and 3 isp's and all do the same, installs ok, dials out, but will not connect.

Anyone come across this problem with these modems before?

I am on broadband, so plug the modem cable into a ADSL phone adapter plug.

Many thanks

Craig.

I'm no expert, but I think you might have answered your own question.
As I understand it, 56K and ADSL don't mix.

Hi

Thanks for the help, but I think I have sorted it now.
It wasn't anything to do with my Broadband line, the system a Pentium 200Mhz MMX just wasn't powerfull enough to the run the modem, worked fine on a PII 300Mhz.

I did think that the min spec was 166Mhz, but obviously it's not!!!

Many thanks

Craig.
