Hi Guys,

I'm in the process of copying Gotham Project from my PC HDD to the XBOX HDD. I'm using cuteFTP to do the transfer.

Now the game is just of 2 Gigs, and it's been transferring for close to 3 hours now.... is that normal ???

Not normal. Use flashfxp instead
see if there's an increase in speed.
It should transfer @100mbps.

it won't use the full 100mbps even on 100mbps full duplex.

at most 2GB on full duplex should take around 20-30 minutes.

go into the evox settings and see what it says on there- (whether it is 10 or 100 mbps and whether its full or half duplex)

when i used a static ip set up, i had this wierd problem that if when i configured my pc to static (only had 1 nic card so had to disconnect from internet to connect to the xbox) and connected to the xbox i'd only get a 100 half duplex connection and ftp transfer speeds of around 200kbps max, however if i then restarted the pc (with the xbox still on) evox would then register it as full duplex and could get speeds of around 7-8 mbps.

Try doing that- oh and for future reference you can use xsio xfer or qwix to extract and ftp game isos to your xbox without having to unpack the iso and ftp through a ftp client. both can be got from the xbox-scene iso tools section in downloads

Thanks for the help guys. I will check the ISO tool on xbox-scene as I was tired of having to unpack those iso just to FTP them.

One thing thou, I'm not using evox, but instead of xbpm as my default dashboard. Where can I check if I'm setup up on half or full-duplex ???

should be in the system info in the settings section

Just an update... I switched to Qwix and the upload time have been greatly reduced. Thanx guys!
