how much bigger than a dvd-r is it? first of all get rid of any xbe's that have update in the name.

if there are wma/wmv files in there you could downsample them- well wma's anyway. There's also the other tirck of finding the smallest media (wmv, xmv, bik) file you can find and using that for every other media file- e.g. copy it the small one delete the original fmv , paste the small media file and rename it to wht you just deleted- obviously this gonna through any fmv out of whack but if you're that desparate to see it all just copy it your hd

if there are .bik files then get rad tools (google it) its a smacker/bink file encoder, you can take a black jpeg (i used 640x480 for splinter cell 2) created in and convert it to a 1k bik file which you can then replace over other bik files (making sur)e to use the exact same name)

this will replace fmv footage with a very momentary blank screen.
