Hiya All

Can someone please tell me what the average temp on both m/board and cpu should be.

I just got Slayers Evox installed and its saying my M/Board temp is 95.0F and my CPU is 123.1F

Is this ok or bad.

Thanks for all answers.

yeah sounds about right 35c and 55c respectively

without replacing any thing you could edit your bios to run the fan at a higher speed- by default it runs at 20% of max voltage- but a significant increase will make your xbox noisier- but those temps are fine (well the cpu is a little high)

is your xbox in a well ventilated area? (e.g. not in a cupboard), may make a bit of difference if you put it somewhere that is well ventilated

n.b. increasing fan speed would require bios flashing which is always a risk especially if you don't know what you are doing ;)

mine shown in XBox media player is always:

MB: 44 C
CPU: 54 C

and I always left it on for like 7 to 14 hours a day... been like 8 months now after the overclocked incident...

anyways, Refrigerator project is still ongoing just needing more people to join so please expect a temperature cut in a few more days :Ds...

Hey nimbee aka newbie, have you ever heard of PBL, you can load a bios into rom without flashing it to your chip baby :Ds...

HI

My Xbox sits right at my window,so plenty of ventilation.

Going by you the temps seem ok.

Cheers again
