There are 99 minute CD-Rs available. try http://www.scan.co.uk morfeus May 27, 2004, 10:50 AM Scan ony seem to do 90 minute ones (which are still bigger than 80min 700MB ones) http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo.asp?WebProductID=38309 But I know that you can get 99min ones. Search on the web somewhere or perhaps someone else knows... yoshter1 May 29, 2004, 11:29 AM The latest PlexWriters overburn to 1GB, but i think they are only readable in other PlexWriters. Good for archiving though. hollie.weimeraner Jun 28, 2004, 05:44 PM Try http://www.blankdiscshop.co.uk/acatalog/90_and_99_Minute_Discs.html :round: Insomniac Jun 29, 2004, 09:18 PM Good girl hollie, :) First check to see if your burner supports larger discs. Most will do 80min, but not many do over that. Hey hollie, do you like the new vbulletin skin? That should get people in! I don't know how we'll cope with the influx. :) Wildcat47 Aug 03, 2004, 07:40 AM Think Xtra makes 800 and 900 MB CD-ROMs (www.txeurope.com). However usual burning software won't recongnize the extended capacity and you may need overburning to get the full capacity. The good news is: once you burned them they will play OK on DivX and mp3 capable DVD players. Insomniac Aug 07, 2004, 01:34 AM The good news is: once you burned them they will play OK on DivX and mp3 capable DVD players. And the bad news is trying to burn them in the first place. Most burners won't support them, and CDR's are cheap, so I really can't see the point unless you are trying to copy a single CD that is larger than 700MB. I have yet to come across that problem. |
