Hi,

I'm looking for some advice on how to restore Digital Audio Extraction capability to my CD-RW drive. I've been using it for months to play audio cd's without a cable connecting my cd drive to my sound card, but recently it just stopped working.

Now the cd appears to play but the audio won't play through my sound card, only through the headphone socket on the CD drive itself. When I go to the multimedia options in control pannel the option to toggle Digital Audio on and off isn't available (the box is there but it's faded out and I can't click on it)

Does anyone know why my cd drive may have suddenly lost the ability to do digital audio extraction? I have a LG CD-RW ced-8080B cd drive and i'm using windows '98
