My PC has shut down a few times in the last couple of days and I was wandering if the temprature was to high

Anyway I've just gone into the set up and into the PC Health Status menu, here's what I've found.......

System Temp 47 C / 116 F

CPU Temp 71 C / 159 F

Fan Speed 3629

Am I right in thinking that these temprature's are very high?

I've just installed another cpu cooler to see if it'll make any difference, but it doesn't

Any ideas or suggestions please folks.

Your CPU temperature is high. If you have the stock fan and heatsink you could get a new one and also get some thermal paste (arctic silver 5). There are reviews left right and centre for fans so you should google it.

My XP1700 overclocked to 2.2Ghz gets to about 46-47 under load under an Alpha PAL8045 heatsink and a variable speed fan so if the temp creeps up a bit I just increase the speed of the fan to compensate.

You could try a faster fan on the Heatsink.
What's the CPU and what heatsink and fan are you using as some of them are utter pants.

Can't edit the above thread but forgot to say that maybe try taking the side off the case (if you can) or add more fans to your case to increase the flow of air inside.
