i had a divx movie file that i encoded with tmpgenc to mpeg/dvd format, the finished file played fine on my computer, and everything seemed in order

then i used tmpgenc dvd author to author it, i made the usual chapter cuts and all seemed in order, then i made the menu, a simple menu. then i made the dvd files outputted to my VIDEO_TS folder which is on my desktop

still, everything went perfectly, then i went to burn in nero burning suite 6. i used nero express, and went through the usual steps of burning a dvd, putting all contents of video_ts into the perdy pink folder, then burned it at 2x

then all goes well and the disc is completed, but at the very end, it gets an error saying :

DVD RW IDE1004
Could not perform end of Disc-at-once

so i assume its still playable, i put it in my computer and it read invalid dvd format, then in my standalone dvd player it reads the menu, but when attempting to play the movie, it freezes it up and gets disc error

i have followed most steps from the tutorials at www.videohelp.com

i went through a good 4 different media, and got same error each time

i went through whole avi encoding and then dvd authoring a good 5 times and im finally asking for help, same error each time

what im i doing wrong?

system specs:
Windows Xp Pro
512 sdram
766 processor
lite on dvd writer 4x8x48
27.7 gig harddrive

btw, this is the first time i ever attempted to get avi to dvd, i have successfully backed up ps2 games, dvd9 and dvd 5, have succesffully backed up hd, and this is the first time ive ever gotten coasters, so any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance

I'm betting it's your media.

I've done a lot of encode with avi to dvd and never had a problem like that. You can also try different authoring program like ulead movie factory. It's a lot better than tmpgenc.
