can anybody help me out

i am using Roxio DVD Builder to make up sonme DVDs but was wondering what the quickest ( if any ) format to encode is , i have been using WMV files and the seem to take forever , i have found a way to make them into AVI or MPEG files , would these encode any quicker

No...encoding is a long process. Usuaully, how lng the movie is....is how long the encoding time will take.
