Hiya, just Googled my way here and hoping someone can help...

A mate dropped round his CD Graphic/Karaoke collection and a pile of CD-Rs, and asked me to make copies of them as some of the originals are getting pretty scratched up from use, and it's easier for him to own a back-up of a disc than keep replacing the original...

I don't really know much about the format, but figured I could make a CD-to-CD copy in Nero, which I tried, but when I try playing the backed-up copy on our DVD/Karaoke player only the audio will play (the graphics play fine with the original disc, though).

So I've kind of stumbled at the first hurdle. Is there a simple way of copying a CD Graphic disc onto a CD-R? Or, if the way isn't so simple, could someone give me simple directions (what with me not knowing anything about the format, I'm just trying to do a favour for a CD burner-less friend...)

Thanks a lot! :wavey:

Damn, never mind. Had a read around, gave CDRWIN a go, tried 3 different CD burners but none seem to be able to read/write CD+G data...

And I don't fancy buying a fourth CD burner as a favour...

Oh well.

Try the help pages at the karaokeplayground.co.uk, they are free again and you do not have to buy another burner. You will need mp3 toolz and cdrwin or audiograbber(my preferred method). A cdrom can extract cdg without being able to read and play cdg.

hi muteme
backing up an origonal karaoke cdg
what cd burners do you have leave a reply on here
only certain readers are compatible with cdrwin for extracting the cdg file to bin file
if they have been converted to mp3+g files any cdrom will read them
let us know so we can advise :) :)
