OK, I got a new speedy computer recently (2.4Ghz Pentium 4) so no real need for the original. I was going to format the hard drive on th old one and put either Win2000 or WinXP on it. It is 500Mhz with 384MB of RAM. I see the requirements for both on Micro$uck's site are pretty much the same. So, since its older, will Win2000 run better on it than WinXP or will it pretty much be the same? This 500Mhz PC is gonna just be used for surfing, e-mail & the kids. Justy wondering.

It really depends on what you intend on using it for, if you want to run the new machine for games and multimedia then Windows XP for sure, but if you want it for Office work and downloading then Windows 2000 would be best.
