Hi, I am building a new system and I have a question between these two configurations. Which is faster/better setup: running a single stick of 512mb PC3200 (DDR400) or 2 x 256mb PC3200 in DualChannel mode? Thanx.

running the dual channel mode with 2X256 is faster. on a non dual channel setup using a 512 stick rather than 2x256 sticks is preffered because of the increased latency using two smaller sticks rather than one large stick. this doe snot apply to dual channel set ups though.
