I just got a Western Digital 36.7GB 10,000RPM SATA Hard Drive (My motherboard is SATA compatible). I also have a WD 100GB IDE HD. The 100GB is currently holding the operating system (Win XP), but I want to use the 36GB for the operating system and the 100GB for storage. I've never hooked a SATA HD up before, and with all of the trouble I had getting my system running in the first place, I want to make sure I do it right the first time. Is there anything I need to do to make sure everything goes smoothly? I know this is kind of a vague question, but I don't really know what to ask. I guess I'm just looking for ideas. Thanks!!

if ur 100 gb drive has two partition one on os and other for storage than is easy to just send the os part to the sata drive, if not then you're gonna need to back up to make the 100gb for storage unless you're planning to install windows again.
