I had WinXP home on my laptop, but recently did a total reinstall and put WinXP Professional on it. Before formating the hard drive & doing the reinstall, I exported my address book. I did it through Outlook Express & saved it as a .CSV file. I've done this in the past with no problems & have imported fine as well. However, after the XP Professional installtion was complete & I went to import the .CSV file through Outlook Express, there were no options for importing from 'other address book' like there usually was. It kind of looks like the importing tool wasn't installed properly or is missing. Is there anyway of reinstalling or fixing this importing tool?

Since I'm using windows98 and outlook express my advice may be useless, but after I reformatted my system I couldn't import my old e-mails and address book, but then remembered I had upgraded to outlook express 6 on the old set-up, I upgraded my outlook express and all was OK, it might be related

1. Open Outlook Express and click on the Address Book icon
2. Then File -> Import
3. Other Address Book
4. Choose Text File (CSV)
Hope that helps!

It is Outlook Express 6. I've tried exactly what dubl_d8 suggest, but that didn't work. There are no options after I select to import "Other Address book". Its just blank. I've done it before in the past with no problems so I know exactly what you are referring to, but not sure why I can't do it now.

Try just going to File (Not the address book) when OE opens then
Import..etc

Yea, that's how I'm doing it. Opening Outlook Express, going to 'file', then 'import other address book'. But nothing is available for selection.
