makkerson Aug 23, 2004, 12:17 AM ive download many dvd-rip games, they r in .nfo and .sfv format.
i only have a cd burner and i dont know how to burn them!!
i have Nero, CDRWIN, and Alcolho 120% and i have a ps2 with mod chip.
someone please teach me how to burn it!!! :bawling:
Ni3L50L Aug 23, 2004, 08:28 AM The .nfo file is a text file with info on the rip, and the sfv file is a redundancy file to check the state of the rar files. Both won't get you a working game. You need the .bin and .cue file. Load the .cue file in Alcohol 120% or Nero and burn the game to CD. Then play to your hearts delight.
makkerson Aug 23, 2004, 01:54 PM all the files in it is online full of ALOT of .sfv, and im sure they work cuz i saw people done it before... :bawling:
is there a way to change them into .cue somehow?
and ummm how does ISO files burn to ps2 games? :hdspin:
Kojima Aug 24, 2004, 12:36 AM You probably have some rar files too? You have to extract the image files from the rar files using a program like winrar. Then it should be easy in Nero to burn the image to CD. If you are still having problems (and that is as easy as it gets) just buy the games from a store.
makkerson Aug 24, 2004, 10:08 AM no i am sure there is no rar file and i wont be asking these questions if there is...
smart answer btw, buy the game from the store, exactly y i download the game cuz i dont wanna spend 80 bucks on it MAYBE???
handyguy Aug 24, 2004, 11:11 AM U don't have a game. You just have to get another copy of it somehow.
.nfo and .sfv format are not game data files.
Kojima Aug 24, 2004, 11:45 AM if thats all you have how big was the download...1 MB?
makkerson Aug 25, 2004, 12:35 PM it was WE8 and many other games off bt... they r all like that... its like around 780mb
im sure they work cuz ive seen people done it...
if it doesnt work im sure there wont be like a thousand users dling it :suspic:
TOORUDE Aug 25, 2004, 05:08 PM What game are you talking about that's $80??? Only one I've ever seen that was over $49.99 was FFXI with the HDD, or socom with the headset. You know something I don't? Doubtful, but then again stranger things have happened.......................................... ....TOORUDE
Aptom Aug 25, 2004, 09:22 PM do me a favour... check again and see if you have .001 and .002 etc.. files..
maybe around 20+ of them?... if so open WinRar and open up the first file (.001)
it should contain an image file within just extract it and burn it with the correct
program :)

You didn't know that these were Rar files? at least one of these files is called *.rar, usually the end one......
Ni3L50L Aug 27, 2004, 07:18 AM No, there 's usually a .rar file when numbered files end with .r01.
With fully numbered files (ie. .001, .002 etc) there's usually no .rar file.

You're right, I do apologise......I never noticed, to be honest, I "obtain" all kinds of crap, PS2, X-Box, PC, Movies......and I've always used WinRAR to extract, but I always assumed they were r01, r02, etc with a rar file at the end.......my bad
makkerson Aug 27, 2004, 09:46 PM yea... thats why i didnt know what to do... =(
anyways i know how to do it now, thanks alot guys
