i am haveing problems burning ps1 games i tried the win. xp cd burner but it would not so i tried nero 5 but it would not let me select a cd burner i did not even know you could untill i found this site witch realy kicks. so if i ever do get to burn a game will i be able to play it on a ps2 with out any mod chips or boot disks also i was wondering if there is any way to play games from a diffrent console and can you down load games and burn them if so where can you get them plus im short on funds so i would like to do it for free if possable :sick:

For burning, try either CDRWIN or Alcohol 120%, both good burning progs. I wouldn't recommend playing backups without a boot disc or a modchip. It can be done, but you risk damaging your ps2, if you still want to try it, do a search for the 'knife trick'. By 'games from different consoles', if you mean something like playing GameCube or XBox games on your ps2, then no. I believe there are some emulators available for playing older games on the ps2, but I can't say for sure. As far as where to get the games, try Newsgroups.

thanks that was alot of help :) but i also have a ps1 can i play them on there strait or do i need to do any thing

You'll need a modchip to play PS1 games. I think a knife trick is available for that also.
The only system that doesn't need a mod chip is the Dreamcast. That system was gold.

There was a PC program, called Bleem, that let you play them on your PC...

There are a couple of PSX1 emulators for PC, but unfortunately they can be buggy or not updated in a long time.
Far from perfect, but better than nothing though.
