I have a copy of Madden 2005 that works on a ver7 w/magic chip however I've tried it now on two different ver1 ps2's with the old neo2 chip and could not get the game to boot. This is the first time I haven't been able to boot a dvd backup on these old ps2's using the double swap with the DMC demo. Does anyone know if it's a compatibility issue or is there a "trick" to getting this Madden game to boot? Every other year Madden has booted fine. Like I said this is the first game that's ever not booted. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

anybody got it to work ? I got the same problem.... it can't boot, stop when the black screen come up

I tried 2 dvd-r's already and no luck. I also tried the ea patch to the image file and no luck with that. I also am having trouble with star wars battlefront. All other games are still working.

check this homies... i have a v1 ps2 with neo 2.2 chip. For madden 2k5 to work use the cogswaploader exploit to mc and swap with DMC then madden 2k5 dvdr and u'll be surprise that it WORKS. :) ..Have PHUN!!! any more ?'s let me know.. I tried the cogswapper fix and it worked. I was able to play madden2k5 and star wars battlefront. It also worked with other ripped games. I guess my gameshark disk is going to collect some dust now.
