The most common outputs are speaker out, mic in, and line in.

You really need a 2.1 speaker system to connect straight to the speaker out socket.

Doing it yourself isn't going to work unless you have the equipment and skills.

2.1 speakers are really cheap, and sound great, especially for the price.

I presume mic in is the microphone in socket, which i use for my mike currently.

What is the line in?
can i save song from an audio casette from my walk-man into my system?

if i can do it please can u tell me how to?

Line in is for connecting things like stereo, bass amp, CD player etc, as long as you have the correct plug which is a 1/8 stereo minijack usually.

HERE (http://homerecording.com/sound_card_basics.html) is some more basic info.
