I just upgraded to a dual layer burner. I can't find any info on the DVD Shrink site about if it will handle shrinking files down to fit on a dual layer disk. So, will the latest version work to skrink let's say a 9.5 GB disk down to 8.5 GB for example? Thanks in advance for any help.

There are no 9.5gb disks. Where did you get one of those? dvd decryptor does DL disks.

I was just using that size as an example. Basically I mean that I want to rip a large DVD...let's say Ghandi for example...the main VOB's are large as the movie itself is over three hours long, add to this all of the extras and you have a high amount of GB's...when I ripped it two years ago I recall that it was higher than most other DVD's which I had ripped in the past, I want to rip all of it and shrink it down to fit the new dual layer disks. Will DVD Shrink get it down to 8.5 GB's or will it shrink it down only to 4.5 GB's or less as it usually does. Thanks.

on shrink 3.2, goto edit, preferences, and change the dropdown menu from DVD5 to DVD9.

Holy crap, you can edit posts now!

I read Dl media only plays on about 40% of the dvd players. What you need is a presser, those play 100% :-)
