Hi can anyone please help me i get an error message after sucessfully writing to a disc saying buffer underun has been avoided 140 times, this has started happening ever since installing windows xp fresh with sp2 also while burning to a cd my whole computer completely slows down. i ran aspi check and saw no aspi installed so i downloaded the aspixp4711 and installed this and then check it and it was successfull so tried to burn a cd after this and no change.

Here's a couple of familiar try this then's:

download aspi 4.60 it works better than 4.7, dunno why... Aspi 4.60 download site (http://www.adaptec.com/worldwide/support/driverdetail.jsp?filekey=aspi32.exe)

Have you enables DMA, check its enabled How to enable DMA Win Xp (http://www.windows-help.net/WindowsXP/howto-05.html)
