my roomate and i are total newbies at burning xbox games. we have an xbox with a chip in it. it came with burnt dvdxbox games so we know it works. we just wanna be able to burn games ourselves. here are the tools we have so far that we think we need:

1. Dvd Burner
2. Slayer's Evox 2.5
3. Network Cable/Router
4. Xbox w/ chip

However, i've read some posts on how to ftp the xbox and i think we understnad the concept behind it. however, do we need to install the evox first? we have it downloaded onto our pc, but thats it. so that is where we are at right now but dont know how to install or use evox or how to properly ftp the xbox to the pc using a router.

sorry for the long post.....but could someone please help us????????

thanks

Install EvoX 2.6.........burn it to a DVD, or if you're positive that your X-Box can read CDr's, (some can't), then do it to a CD. All you need to do it stick it in the X-Box and start it up. If you got EvoX 2.6, there should have been a manual in a pdf file with it that explains how to do everything.
That will install everything you need on the X-Box side of things.....then get FlashFXP, you'll need that or a program similar to FTP to the X-Box, or, if you want to FTP games, get a program called C X-Box Tool 2.
There;s many, many guides on how to successfully FTP/Burn, but if you really need any more help just ask. If you use MSN I use the same nick as on here.
Hope this helps

ok so here is where we are....

i know the xbox we have doesn't read cdr...but it does dvdr. there is a modchip already installed into the the xbox and it reads dvdr games. there is no special dashboard startup screen for it.....it is just like a normal xbox. all we want to do is to be able to make copies of games.

i have been unable to get evox 2.6 i know you cant tell me where it is on here, but maybe can you email me a link to it or i can get it from you if that is cool with you. my email is through hotmail and is the same as my name on here.

i have flash fxp already, but do i need that c xbox tool 2 thing instead? i guess i dont know what we really need to do if all we want is to be able to burn copies of games. is that just ftp ing games or the whole hd?

sorry if this seems repetitive, but most of the manuals ive seen differ slightly with what i have to work with so im not sure if i can do things right or not.

thanks for your help....much appreciated!

Stussy, I'll gladly help you out, just e-mail me, it's this nick @hotmail.com or gmail.com
I can sort you out with the latest evox, if you want, but unfortunately I can't get your details up on here or find your e-mail on here. Alternatively, if you ever go on efnet go to #crazymazeys and ask for kane316

I didn't do either of those, I just burnt it onto a disk and installed it normally  (the smiley isn't to be arrogant, but I'm having a crap day and needed to boost my ego with some cool) lol

I'll be honest, I can't really remember, my memory is pretty bad due to medication, but I'm pretty sure it was here I heard of it or another forum, maybe OCforums.....it was definitely word of mouth through a forum. I was a bit cynical of it at first, but I downloaded it, tried it out by FTPing some ISO's over the network, instead of burning them off, and I've had no problems with it at all, so I recommend it to everyone.
I've tried alot of tools, but this one seems to have the most features and is the most user-friendly
