How about you save some of that money you were planning to spend on a xbox modchip and stop acting like a god damn retard. If it takes 22 years in junior college its worth it.

Weldon, you are a ****head. As for the REAL discussion here, that number won't help to determine your XBox version. The only 100% way is to open it up and check a few things. If it is a version 1.0-1.5, modchip install is exactly the same. Version 1.6 is a bit more difficult, but still not a problem. The best chips are the Xecuter chips. You can get a 2.6 from www.systemmods.com for around $39, and that includes shipping. The retail harddrives are either 5.6 GB, or 7.6 GB. Keep in mind that is space that is actually useable. The XBox is capable of using just about any size of harddrive now, but I have never installed anything above a 160 GB.

whats up. pretty sure that u got a 1.6.
As far as the chip goes. ive been using xenium ice in all the modding that i do. but it all depends on if u like to solder or not. the 1.6 is a little more challenging than say a 1.4-1.5 but still not that hard. just takes a lil patience and understanding the directions.dont know about the other chips but with the x ice, u solder the pinheader and 5 points and the d0. all simple if u got the recommended wire.
