I'm having trouble trying to figure out how to write a disc image for the Grandia 2 PC Play Disc. The Disc's protection is Safedisc 2.5, but even with those settings, Alcohol refuses to rip it. Can Alcohol properly handle ghost data and play data, or do I have to find another program to rip the image with? After I rip this game (if its possible), I plan to fix the things that Ubisoft cut corners on, like sound effects, untrimmed attack animations (Millenia), and so on. Any help would be appreciated!

What exactly does Alcohol do or say?

What model burner do you have?

You could try CloneCD, BlindWrite, or DiscJuggler etc.

You should be able to make an image of just about any game, and Safedisk isn't particularly difficult with the correct burner.

Alcohol gives the standard "error reading data" message. That aside, CloneCD and Blindwrite won't work, and I recently removed Discjuggler,
but I have a Sony CRX140E, and I've never had any trouble with a game before, so I might go back and see if Discjuggler works. It was very high-end, and I usually only use simple extraction tools; that's why I got rid of it.

At any rate, I'll go redownload Discjuggler again. Maybe some good'll come of it. Thanks!
