View Full Version : Xbox dash wont boot off of evox. error 21

I have a fairly old xbox with one of the first mod chips ever (go it from moddogs.cc) anyways im running evox and when I try to go to the main xbox dashboard from there I get a call customer serivce screen (code 21). This happened about 6 mounths ago... I dont think I ever made anychanges to anything either... Heres what my evox.ini file looks like:

on my c: I have the normal stuff and xboxdash.xbe (its the evox dash) and msxboxdash.xbe

So whats wrong?!?

your msdash is probably renamed. check the name and change it to match in evox, you prbably updated your evox down the line, and the ini changed.

Nope its still the same thing. msxboxdash :(

msxboxdash.xbe is probably you original xbox dash, is there any other .xbe in the main directory?

you could try replacing the dash with one from slayers evox autoinstaller.

there are only 2 .xbe's in the directory the evox one, and the msxboxdash one... hmmm

Johnwashere, I'm having the exact same problem that you're having - microsoft's xbox dash boots with an error code 21 regardless of how it's loaded (i.e., via evox or simply if I rename it back to xboxdash.xbe and restart the xbox). Did you find a solution to this problem?
