I'm running 98 on a packbell club. I'm having trouble with the cdrom. the device
manager gives code 10,ie divice not started, not working properly or all drivers not loaded. the device controllers are mitsumi cdrom double speed. I'have tried
reinstalll no joy. Any help greatly appreiated. The trouble seem to have stated
when I loaded easy cd no,5, Ihave since uninstalled it and reformatted, but i still
have the same problem. thanx in advanced.

Although it's probably, I doubt this is from a software issue.

Check all the physical connections, make sure it has the correct Master/Slave hierarchy, is enabled in the Bios, and is detected and displayed correctly in Device Manager and My Computer.

If it's any help, error code 10 means,

"This device is either not present, not working properly, or does not have all the drivers installed" (Code 10)
