I bought my laptop with a Toshiba SD-R2512 drive about a year ago, and I've burned about 200 audio cds with it. Last week I burned a CD and put it in the car and it just hung on the initializing disc stage. After about 3 minutes it started to play small bits of static noise. I burned about 10 coasters trying out different settings to try to figure out what the problem was. I managed to get one working one, but when I duplicated those settings on another CD it didn't work. The same symptoms happen on every stereo I have access to.

When I put the CDs in my laptop's drive, however, they're recognized perfectly as music CDs and they play fine.


Anyone know what the problem could be? Thanks in advance.
