I am wondering if someone can give me a step by step instruction on how to burn lybcrypt protected PS1 games. I have a ps2 with a duo-2 chip. I already have the cd images in .ccd format on my harddrive. Ive tried burnign and ended up with coasters. My burner does support Raw Dao 96, I have both Alcohol 120 and Clone CD.

Try using Clony, it should tell you the CloneCD settings for getting around LibCrypt protection.

Before you even start, your burner must support reading and writing RAW and Sub-Channel Data.

Use CloneCD.

Read 4x

Settings:

Read both Subchannels *Checked*
Write uncorrected *Checked*
Amp Weak sectors *Checked*

Burn 8x

If you don't have some settings available then it's because they have been removed from Clone for the U.S and Japanese versions.

lybcrypt is somet to do about the Subchannel getting fix & that stop the game from runing so look for the uncorrected Subchannel Checked you do not need to Amp Weak sectors as that is for safedisc2.

Okay thanx. Now I have got some games that worked very very well....ie Tactics Ogre, yet games liek Breath of Fire 4 and Tales of Destiny 2 wont go anywhere. Why do some games work and others do not??

What read/write speed were you using?

In my experience, I get far better and even results using a slow reading and writing speed, generally 4X.

Im using a read and write speed of 2x

It doesn't sound like you are doing a lot wrong, so if you are getting inconsistent results then try different burning programs or maybe even another burner.

R you useing an old SP or the newer tiny SPone becus the newer one's have less power going to the lens & it can have probs reading CD-Rs one game can work & one won't.
& if its the old one the lens may be on its way out.

I have tried everythign from Alcohol to Clone CD to Blind Write. Cobra, it's a PS "2".

sorry did not read all of your post i put PSone becus lybcrypt is only for PS1 games.
i can help out on the software side but not the hardware side as i do not have a PS2 (only PS1).
