I am having trouble connecting to AOL using a DLINK DSL 504 Gen 2 Router. I have tried the standard settings that are given out by aol and have also tried setting my mtu to 1400 using dr tcp. In the router config browser on connection status it either says "LCP NO RESPONSE" or "DISCONNECTED". All AOL basically said was buy one of our supported routers.

I am having exactly the same problem but with the Gen 1 DSL-504 and AOL. Done dr tcp to mtu of 1400. No joy. In my case the connection status on 504's window always shows connected with AOL's IP address showing. AOL also says that they can see me connected from their end. But no internet at all. I know it is not a DNS error because typing in IP address does not help. Besides DSL-504's router test always shows FAIL on the 'Data Transmission Test' item.
Did you find a solution to your problem or has anybody?
Please help if you can!
