just installed cdrwin v3.9c ... when I open the program says "no cdrom recording device was found on the scsi or ide bus"

under device settings in cdrwin shows under readers tab both my asus cdrom and my lite-on cdrom writer
but under recorders tab ... nothing showing?

as mentioned I am running WinXp pro.

can anyone be of any help?

This is just a shot in the dark, but have you tried upgrading to the most current version 4.0c??? (not the old beta thing, this is the newest on Goldenhawks web site).
Also, try an uninstall and reinstall of your writers/rom drives. Device manager, uninstall, then reboot your computer. It will only take a few secs for windoze to put them back.
Did you check for any yellow exclamation marks in device manager?
Emulation proggies can mess up CdrWin. You should be able to just turn off any running emulators.
I have updated (free update if you are a paid customer) to 4.0c unicode version and it is small, fast, and works great.
One other thought, if your writers are not in 3.9c it will just see them as cdrom drives (readers). Updating to the newest version can sometimes fix this, and also, they sometimes have support files for new writers that you can get from their web site (or at least they used to???)
Hope some of this can be of help???
IMHO
