i currently have my 2 pcs and lappy running of a origo 4 port wired router modem but this restricts the movement of me with the laptop

what i want to do is keep the 2 pcs with the router and have the lappy wireless

is it possible and what hardware will be required

a wireless PCMCIA card, between 20 and 30 quid will sort it, get a g spec and not a b spec card

you will also need either a wireless access point to plug into one of the routers ethernet ports or you could go for a combined wired and wireless router such as the one I use, 3com office connect adsl router (http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=82066)
this also comes with a pcmcia card free and has a firewall included

its also easy to set up :)
