I keep seeing posts about connecting the pc and the gamecube for downloads and for loading. They say to connect with a Cat5 cable. I can see doing this with the PC but how do I do it with the GC? Also, where will I go for the downloads and will I need special software? Please Help.

you can get a NIC/LAN Ethernet card for the Gamecube.

First you need a crossover cable, also known as a patch cable.(The X-BOX link cable is great because its long enough and only 20.00)
Next you need the GC broadband adapter.
You need a REAL copy of Phantasy Star Online 1/2 (NOT THE NEW PLUS VERSION)
Google search for PSO Exploit
OR...
Go to a site like Divineo and order a Viper modchip, install it, and burn GC games to mini dvds(normal dvds with a case hack) and play them.
As far software, the only software you need is for loading games via PSO. As for getting the games, well, I wont explain.
