Anyway to copy a CD+G Karaoke CD with a non compatible burner? (HP CD-Writer 9100 series but it says HP 9100b in window)

I believe theres a way to copy a CD+G Karaoke CD with a non compatible burner but I can't figure out how. I did search google and still am. I tried many different things but nothing has worked so far. Does anyone know how you would do this please? Thanks

I have been to Karaoke playground help files but I tried what I could and it would not work. I am so confused. The help files really don't make much sense. Like it seems like the help files don't start off from the beginning then to the end. They start off in the middle of the process.

I am searching these forums as well and found topics like http://www.cdrom-guide.com/forums/showthread.php?t=275861 but I don't understand it because it starts off with zip files? Where in the world did the zip files come from please and what are the steps do this step please?

I have read many other topics as well on here.

I feel so stupid that I can't understand how to do any of this.

Clone CD will do it if you select multimedia CD. If you have that I will send complete instructions. Also you can rip single songs using another method and I am now trying to find it I am sure the info is on here.

hi
try cdrwin i used to use it when i had a hp burner.

Already tried that. Gives me a error everytime I try to extract the contents off the cd.

Though there is one thing that did work but it may be a little strange. Clonecd works fine extacting the image onto the hard drive. Then U used daemon tools to mount the clonecd image. When I did that cdrwin then worked fine extacting the .bin files off of the mounted cd image through daemon tools.

I don't know where to go from there and not even sure if that was a good way to do it sense no other way will work.

I guess if you are just making backup copies then CloneCD will do it all. Just hit the image with the 2 cd's and then after check delete image after sucessful write and then tell it to go and once it ejects put in a blank click on multimedia cd and then write. It should do what you want. Another way is use audiograbber and extract off the cd make sure you select grab cdg(karaoke) and select the format you want(bin, mp3+g etc). This is a freeware program. goggle it if you don't have it I can't find the link off hand.

(To copy a cd+g with a non compatible burner ) I had the same problem. I tried Alchool120 and it did the trick. It was easy to use and fast.

Now, If it's cd+g that you ve downloded from the Internet, read this:

You will need the Following Programs.. Clone CD MP3+g and Daemon Tools.. this is even good for NON Compatiable CD roms....
It works Great..

Create a new folder on your desktop

COPY and PASTE not drag and drop but COPY the .ZIP files you wish to burn into the folder. the ammount of files you can place on
one disc varies but is usually between 14-20 it depends on how long the song lasts.

Right click on the folder and select MP3+G TOOLZ -zip to bin

Doing this converts all the files in the folder into .bin files which are the actual files that were ripped from
the original CD+G disk.

The .bin files have a file size now you can work out how many files you can put on a disc, if your disc is 700mb
then its best to not put more than 690mb worth of .bin on it, if it is 650mb then its best not to exceed 640mb.

Next u need to delete or move ALL FILES THAT ARE NOT .BIN

Right click again on the outside of the folder, and select MP3+GTOOLZ create cue sheet
(some of the newer ones it won't work this way, but look on list and create cue sheet)

This will put a file on your desktop named the same as your folder name with mp3+gtools.cue

Now from the taskbar selct deamon/mount disc and select the cue sheet file you have just created.
(right click on mouse, to virtual cd/DVD Rom to Device to mount image and go where your cue sheeti is.

This creates a virtual disk on the virtual cd rom that deamon created.
If you wish to Test it you can play the virtual disc from my computer u will hear the music being played
but no lyrics at this stage

BEFORE BURNING CLOSE ALL OTHER UNECESSARY PROGRAMS
YOU SHOULD ALSO DISSCONECT FROM THE WEB IF YOU HAVE
ANY PROBLEMS WITH YOUR BURNING

Now open clonecd

Select copy cd then select the virtual cd click next

click on the cdg icon if you havn't got the cdg icon when you get to the screen with audio and data icon's
right click and make new and name it cdg click next

select "copy on the fly"

burn the disc :-)

GOOD LUCK

If you have a .bin & .cue file made from mp3+g toolz, is mounting on a virtual drive and burning with CloneCD necessary? or can you just burn the .bin & .cue with Nero on a non CD+G compatible Burner?

Also - if the mounting on a virtual drive is necessary - can CloneCD and Daemon tools be replaced by Alcohol120 ?

You can click here to view help files for version 5 and 6 of Nero.

http://www.karaokeplayground.co.uk/help/help.htm

Daemon Toolz is no longer required for use with Clone CD. CUE2CCD works slick. From Takabin (freeware).

http://webclub.kcom.ne.jp/ma/takabin/eng/

With Alcohol 120%, you still need to mount a drive.
