Hi there, I'm new and I'm not real sure how this works....I own a "piece" called Compaq - anyway, it's still under warranty, but ever since I installed SP2 (WinXP), my CD ROM drive is messing up. It's a factory ASUS s480/AH. It will read music CDs, but not games. Any help will be GREATLY appreciated. (yes, I've contacted HP several times and they are no help)

Have u tried reading other game/other media type cds in the CD-ROM. it could be a problem with the CD itself. If that is the case then message back cause there is a solution to that.

when u say reading, do u mean displaying them as being there, or are you trying to play them from disc?
