Can someone help me with my problem?

My CD writer does not write on CD-Rs or CD-RWs. It reads CDs perfectly well. The burning process goes on as normal and finishes without an error message. But when I open the CD folder, it appears empty. What could be wrong?

I have a Toshiba DVD-ROM R2312 Combo, Windows XP, I use the CD writing software that comes with XP.

Hi,
I have the same problem: After burning a cd, the cd appears blank.
I only see one difference... I have a TOSHIBA SD-R2212.
I have tested with several media types from several vendors without any goo result.
Also, I have tested with Nero 6 and the XP built-in CD burning feature... no results.
Please help us.
