This will take some explaining, here goes:

I wanted to both archive my emulator and rom zip files, as well as include necessary tools so that I could burn Dreamcast games for them later. I gathered all these files on a Win98SE computer, 500MHz, (which we will call 'PC1' for ease of the article), and put it in a folder named "Game Zips". It was around 700MB in size, altogether. PC1 does not have a CD burn drive, but my roommate's laptop Macintosh did (all I know of this computer is that it is a version of OSX, and that he used 'disk copy', as he did not have Toast). I sent him this file via AIM, which he received and burnt. Later, I went to use this CD to begin making Dreamcast emulator game disc, as the disk in question had installation programs for Self Boot Inducer and Alcohol 120% on it... However, upon placing it in a PC running WinXP SP2 with a 1.1GHz Athlon and two CD drives (A Toshiba SD-M1502, and one that is only read as a IDE CD- R/RW 8x4x32), neither drive reads the disk... there are two files, one that does in fact say "Game Zips", and another that says "Untitled CD"... it also says that the total size of the CD is 138 kilobytes, a far cry from the 700+ MB the file accutally contained... the CDRs being used are Memorex Black CD-Rs, 40x, 700 MB, and 80 Min. I no longer have access to my roommate's Mac (we are in college, and we are both back home).

After all this, my questions are:
Why is WinXP not reading this correctly? Is the problem mearly a bad burn on account of my roommate? Is it because of conflict between Mac OSX and WinXP, or some problem between going from Win98SE AIMed to Mac OSX then to WinXP? Regarding the reading of 138 KB, is it possibe that it is only looking at the folder "Game Zips" itself, and not the entire contents of the disk? Is there a workaround? If Windows is not reading it correctly, is there a relatively safe, effortless, and accurate method of reading this data?

Thank you
