I've got a PHILIPS Cdrw 4816/20. It supports Ultra DMA 2 - ATA 33, but windows xp sets it on Multi-Word DMA 2 (16.6Mb, NO CRC Checking, NO flowcontrol) which i think is the cause of slow readings and destroyed cds.
Im using nVidia Nforce2 drivers 5.10 (MSI k7n2delta-l) with the special SW IDE driver, im going to try without it to see whether it works better or not.
Any suggestions ?
