I'm somewhat new to the whole ' burning games ' etc etc thing. I have recently aquired a CD Burner, and would love to expirement. I have a few ps1 games, including FF7, 8, Tactics and 9 and Suikoden. Now, there are a couple of games I could not find for sale where I live. ( Flint, Michigan )
Now, I have a ps2, and have tried the knife trick, which, when that ' white thing ' moves to the right, makes a few ..marks on the CD currently in there, little circle marks, not fun. Which brings me to a question, probably answered count-less times in this forum. I tried to search, but couldn't think of any keywords to use.
-IS- it possible to play a ps1 game on a ps2 with no modifcations what-so-ever? I'm gonna keep this post as short as possible, by including the mod-chip information in a reply post to the first I get on this. :o
Edit - Also, the knife trick got my CD ROM tray stuck, cause you can't ' easily ' pull that tray out. It makes click sounds when you do it, thus causing a lot of nervousness. Then pushing it back in is a bi*ch. The CD won't go down, and that isn't good. I almost had to purchase another ps2 using this method.
