done a search but can't find anything. only dvd+r ! anyone know where I can get hold os some dual layer dvd-r discs.

and any info on compatibilty with dvd player. I'm assuming dvd-r will be more compatible as opposed to dvd+r ?

What Make/Model DVD writer do you have? Do you actually have a drive that can write to a dual-layer DVD-R? Most only do Dual Layer DVD+R, even the Pioneers.

bought an nec dvd+r one. don't know which model but told it was the latest. tried some verbatim's on it but it wouldn't recognise them so I just exchanged it for an LG one but yeah def. dual layer.

any recommendations on a good dual layer writer and 'compatible' discs ? or where I can get hold of a dvd-r writer but then the problem is getting hold of dual layer dvd-r discs.

the problem is I'm trying to get a 8Gb video file onto a disc. tried dvd shrink but the quality is not very good. any suggestions ?
