I dotn know if this is the right forum to post this but i post it any way,,,,


I just bought my pioneer 108 dvd burner not more than a month ago and now this : http://www.supertechstore.com/pidvdulabuba1.html

pioneer 109? what the hell is going on,, god please help, should i change or stick with pioneer 108? what are the differences?

is pioneer trying to play with us?

No, as of now DVR-108 only writes to DVD+R DL, because there's still no DVD-R DL visible anywhere and it's not even clear if the specifications are finalized by DVD Forum. You might be able to add DVD-R DL support with a firmware update, but from the past it looks like Pioneer doesn't like to add new features to their older drives.

the Pioneer 109 is in stock at bigpockets as of 31st jan 2005 they have a very informative write up on what it can and cant do plus a link to pioneer with all the technical jargon hope this helps bob
