Hello,
I went online a few days ago and I got a pop up window (twice) that read something about wanting to install some Windows device. When I clicked off the pop-ups, there was a window that read, "C:\Windows\Bundles\EZSTubs SeedCorn.exe" File appears to be corrupted. Which I'm assuming means that there is a virus on my computer..
Then I noticed two new programs were for some reason installed onto my desktop without me having downloaded them, they were called, "Web Rebates 0" and "Web Rebates 1" So I deleted them, and now, everytime I hit, "Control + Alt + Delete" I still see them on my list of programs that are currently running. Does anyone know what I can do to delete these item off my computer for good?
When I hit the Start button and click on, "Find Folders" I type in Web Rebates and nothing comes up, so I don't know what else I can do to find those stupid viruses and delete them. Please help me!
Thank you in advance
P.S. I should also mention that I ran Norton Anti-Virus and it didn't find anything, but Im thinking the virus is so huge Norton Anti-Virus doesn't detect it. Again, any tips/suggestions are greatly appreciated!!

Sounds like you've got Spyware.

Norton Antivirus 2004, or 2005 both have spyware detectors built in, but are basically antivirus programs as stated in their titles. They recognize spyware, but are not very effective at removing it.

I'd say you're going to need a few tools to keep your computer free from spyware.

1. AdAware SE: Free version. Updatable, and works very well.
2. Spybot Search & Destroy: Free
3. HijackThis: Free
4. Spyblaster: Free version
5. Spyguard: Free version
6. CWS Shredder: Free
7. Spy Sweeper: 30 day demo (Thanks CapBly)

I'm not going to go into what each of these apps do, but here are two pretty good tutorials:

It really depends on what kind of spyware you have on your computer. The apps listed above can take care of most incidents. You should write down the names of any spyware you find after running AdAware, Spybot and Spy Sweeper. If they don't fix your problem, do a Google search to find out what is needed to kill them. Several of the more virulent spywares require a multi-prong attack to remove.

Good luck!

P.S. Make sure to use the update features of these apps to guarantee you have the latest protection before you run your first scans.
