My XP CD went south, I extracted as many files that I could, made a "new" cd and it will install XP, but won't boot up from the CD ROM to make a new installation (format and partition). Here are the files on the CD.

I386
Setup.exe
Autorun
win51
Win51P

I treid making a bootable CD with Nero but the CD didnt boot, how can I go about this without buying a new XP Pro CD?

I have been using my Win 2000 CD to format and partition, setup 2000 and then XP, takes too friggin long, some advice would be helpful.

THIS IS MY OWN COPY AND NOT A ILLEGAL DIWNLOADED VERSION!
Wanted to make that clear!

Here ya go pal. Ran into the same problem myself a short time ago. This will not only make your xp pro bootable, but it will also let you slipstream sp 2 into it as well. HOWEVER, THIS WILL BE MY LAST POST UNLESS MY BAN IS LIFTED!!!! I AM GAMEHUNTER!!!! ALL I HAVE DONE IS HELP PEOPLE IN THE PAST AND I GET BANNED WITH NO EXPLANATION!!! Sorry for shouting, but I'm pissed!!! If you can't get your boot sector off the xp pro cd, you can get it off any xp home cd. It will work no prob. Let me know how you make out.

Thank you very much! I didn't have access to a Win XP Home CD for the boot sector, but I used my boot sector from my Win 2000 CD and everything worked as explained in the website, thanks alot man.
