I want to buy an "External" Dual Layer DVD burner that's compatible with an easy to use DVD copy software like "DVD Cloner II" or "1Click DVD Copy"?
Which External Dual Layer Burner are you using successfully with what DVD copying software?
Thanks, Dewey

I use a Plextor PX-716A, and it has worked with many DVD applications, including those you've mentioned. Plextors are usually more expensive than average, but there are good deals floating around the net if you Google search.

It depends on if that old software program has drivers for the new writers.

Thanks madhatter and HandyGuy.
DVD Cloner has a list of compatible internal DVD writers but not any External ones. DVD Cloner has a new V2.35. No information on it's compatibility to which DVD writers.

Q: Can DVD-Cloner II support external DVD BURNERS?
A: Yes!
The Q/A above was found under the Common Questions of DVD-Cloner II section on:

I think there have been a number of ASPI layer problems with external burners.
