94integ Jan 30, 2005, 09:57 PM hey...well...i don't know what happen to my motherboard (K7) everytime i turn on my computer it starts and then 10 secs later it turns back off...what is wrong...?? maddhatter62 Jan 30, 2005, 11:58 PM Sounds like it might be one of those Blaster type viruses. Does it just shutdown, or does it warn you it's going to shutdown. What antivirus program are you running? It might also be that your RAM has gone bad. If you have multiple sticks, try removing them, and then add them one at a time to see if any combination works. Maddhatter62 94integ Jan 31, 2005, 12:21 PM well...the k7 motherboard is burnt? cause when i see a little smoke ball coming out of the cpu...i thought it was okey...but when i turned on the computer...it starts...10 secs before it sees anything and then it just turns off....without notice.... well, maybe when i use a paper clip to touch some of the metals in the motherboard it got burnt?.....don't know what happen... AcidBath Jan 31, 2005, 12:47 PM OMFG - this better be a joke because I am laughing so hard a little pee came out maddhatter62 Jan 31, 2005, 02:58 PM WOW! I'd have to agree with your assessment... Nuttapper Jan 31, 2005, 05:17 PM LMFAO, this has to be a wind up  PCrepairsRuS :madhack: modo Jan 31, 2005, 07:21 PM What version of Windows are you running? Maybe the paper clip you used isn`t compatible with WinXP (or whatever). Where did you get the paper clip? If you stole it from the Microsft Office Help Assistant then he probably got very annoyed and set fire to your mainboard on purpose. Give it back and say "Sorry". :D Crazy George Feb 04, 2005, 02:59 PM Take the pc back to the manufacturer or shop that you got it from cos a simple paper clip should not do any real damage and anyways as the motherboard is made up of metal as well as plastic it should not be damaged merely by shorting out the contacts with a paperclip that can probably handle about 100 amps of current before it melts. Take my advice and demand that your motherboard and cpu are plastic welded with a Polytronic Xeon coated welding rod , i promise it will work fine , it did for me. |
