I bought hot shots golf 4 and was trying to play online.
The first time I attempted to play online I had a plug mod in my PS2.
I got the DNAS -881 error.
I then took out the plug mod and when I try to play I still get the DNAS -881 error.
Does sony ban people from online play like xbox?

Is my PS2 banned somehow because the first time I tried to play I had the plug mod in there?

The game is not a copy its the real game.

I know my network adapter works because it worked in a friends PS2 and when I tried using his network adapter I still get the DNAS -881 error.

I called the sont number and they said if you get the -881 DNAS error you must send in your PS2 to be fixed.
They said you pay for shipping and if they can fix it its free and free return shipping. If they cant fix it they charge you $30 something and shipping to send you back your ps2.

What is the -881 DNAS error? the guy would not tell me.
Is this just a way for Sony to have dumb people mail in their modded PS2 and then charge them $50 to mail it back to them?

it needs to be checked out, try going to an expereinced store or something or maybe someone in your area knows about ps2 fixing, or you can take in depth pictures of your ps2's insides and send me along to people maybe then someone can spot out whats wrong
